Muck Away is an industry term that is used to describe the excavation and disposal of waste generated on or from a construction site.  The Environment Agency’s technical guidance ‘Waste Classification (WM3, 1st edition 2015)’ which came into force on 1st July 2015, sets out the requirement for the classification of waste. However in general terms the producer of the waste and all those involved in the disposal of waste have a duty of care to ensure the waste is disposed of legally and to a licensed facility or landfill.

Atlas Bulk Carriers has almost 50 years experience of removing Inert Muck Away, Non-Haz Muck Away and Haz Muck Away in an ever changing regulatory environment and our team are fully trained and up to date on all legislation relating to waste disposal. There are a range of factors that can affect contamination levels on any given site such as historical contamination, kerosene spills, hydrocarbon, or asbestos contamination.  Whether you have Inert, Non-Haz (17.05.04) or Hazardous (17.05.03) Muck Away we are able to remove the waste on our Tipper or Grab lorries.
