AS PART OF THE HIGH-OCTANE NITRO CIRCUS TOUR
When the world-famous Nitro Circus announced they were coming to Wembley, Atlas Bulk Carriers got a call. Nitro Circus are famous for their incredible stunts and tricks on a mixture of FMX, BMX, skates and scooters around a course of eye watering sand tracks, mounds and banks. And that means shipping in an awful lot of specialist sand.
THE PROJECT
The sand for this high action event was shipped into Wembley over the course of three days, with the event itself taking place on a Saturday. The arena then had to be completely cleared and cleaned on the Sunday ready for a different event taking place the following day.
OUR ROLE
We had four of our Artic Tippers on site throughout Sunday working inside the arena and transporting the sand back to the supplier as part of the clear up job. With each vehicle having a load capacity of about 30 tonnes, and with each vehicle doing 6 to 7 loads throughout the day, you start to get an idea of the scale of the project.
A BEACH PARTY THEME
This sort of work is pretty common for us but one of the more unusual things we often have to help out with when it comes to sand is for beach parties which convert an entire street (or more) into a beach. We can both ship in and clear the sand away afterwards.
